Fitted Hawaii

Ah yes. Today I got the cap I wanted. Thanks to Ola, Rene and the gang at Fitted Hawaii. Yes the cap I am talking about is the Estate LA Maneki Neko cap that I previously wrote about.

I haven't cut any of the panels open yet. I will post pics when I do.

Also, this past weekend, I picked up one of the red Fitted Hawaii warrior caps. The funny thing is that I didn't expect to see the cap in the store. I was told that two weeks ago when it was released, they all sold out. So I walk in to Fitted and there are two red warrior caps and they are both a 7. Lucky me.

And to top off my post, I brought my circa '96 Rene Matthyssen New Deal deck to Fitted Hawaii today and Rene happened to be there, so I asked him to sign it and he gladly obliged.

Here is another alternative to buying the Nike+ shoes. It's also an alternative to the Marware Sportsuit Sensor+ and it's a bit cheaper @ $7.99 vs $9.95.

Nice thing about the RunAway is that it is water resistant and when not in use it can store the Nike+ Sport Kit receiver.

Well all the guessing is over. I just returned from Chicago where I visited Saint Alfred and lo and behold in one of their showcases was the One Time Only pack. They will be going on sale at Saint Alfred on September 30th. A lot of peeps are waiting for these so I know they won't last long.

I dunno about y'all, but after reading about the One Time Only kix, I was wondering if I would be able to get my hands on some. Well according to Streething "They will only be available in Limited Edition Singapore in this region on 30th September 2006." But then you read the Freshness article and they state that the "Nike One Time Only shoes will drop Fall/Winter 2006-2007." So I don't know which site is correct but I do know which site I want to believe.

Recently I picked up an Apple iPod nano 2GB, a pair of the Nike Air Max 180+ and the Nike + iPod Sport Kit with Armband. Luckily I got the Nike stuff from Eastbay @ 30% off and I also got the nano @ 25% off. But for those of you that want to try out the Nike+ experience and would like to save some money or have a certain brand preference other than Nike for your running shoes here is some nice options for you.

The first one is from a company called Marware. They have designed a neoprene pouch that straps to the laces of your favorite shoe. It's $9.95 and will be shipping on August, 30th. The product page is located here.

The second option is to use velcro. Yes, good old cheap velcro. Check out how to attach the Nike+ Sport Kit by "hacking" your favorite running shoe. Check out the article here.

Totally cool. Rob King has written an application for Ableton Live that allows you to control AL using a PSP. Currently it is only for Windows but a Mac version is in the works. Check it out at Rob's site. Found via createdigitalmusic.com.

I picked up the Nike Air Max 180+ to replace my old Nike Shox for running. I also picked up the Nike + Sport Kit and armband. So far it's all pretty cool and working well.

At the same time I picked up these Nike AM360s. Eastbay.com had them for $110 and on top of that I was able to use a 30% off coupon. So I got my Nike+ stuff and these 360s for a decent deal.

So I found two AM1s that I been spocking for a while in my size at http://www.kix-files.com/.

One is the Nike Mens Celebration of Air Pack AM1 in a mens 7 (I am a mens 6.5 but can rock a 7).

And the other is the Nike WMNS Celebration of Air Pack AM1 in a WMNS 7.5.

Total is $225 but shipping is a freakin $53. Should I do it? Cavan, you wanna order your Foot Patrol Stabs at the same time?

The Cocoa Snake AF1's are back

Back in 2001 there was a quickstrike AF1 in Japan called the Cocoa Snakes. In the states, people were paying big dollars for these (300-600 maybe more). At the same time there were a LOT of fakes/variants of these shoes made. Most obvious was the odd size check to sniff out the fakes. Nike decided to re-release the Cocoa's in Japan again. It's a quickstrike up there in Japan so getting these won't be as easy as you think. I hear from most shops in Japan, they only got 2 size runs per store. I looked around online, and the going rate seems to be about 300-400 USD. They sold in Japan for about 9000 yen(around 90 USD), and I hear there were waiting lines for these. I wouldn't blame them, I dont like waiting in line for shoes, but I might have for these AF1's. I really started collecting AF1's heavily in 2000 so this was right about the time I was going die hard for the Uptowns! Get 'em if you can, and if you can, can get me a Size 12 US (30cm).
